Thanks to data privacy legislation, led by Europe’s GDPR, and California’s CPRA, we, the consumers, have been given a voice and with it, the right to be anonymous. So when organizations use our data (which they inevitably will), it can never be traced back to us. This is the essence of data anonymization.
