Technical Pre-Sales (Europe)

What You'll Do:

Would you like to be part of a rapidly growing and dynamic start-up focused on delivering leading-edge solutions in the areas of Digital Transformation, Cloud Migration, Database Modernization and Test Data Management?

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will have “hands-on” involvement in all aspects of Technical Sales activities for multiple accounts. You will be directly responsible for managing an established base of accounts and identifying new opportunities to create new Proof of Concepts (POC) opportunities with customers and business partners. Additionally, you will be involved in the full sales cycle of our products: from identifying, documenting, and articulating business and technical requirements of a prospective customer, to the qualification, proposal, and post-sale transition.

If you are the ideal candidate, you possess both a strong account management background and an extensive technical background. You must have outstanding communication skills that will enable you to explain our vision to CXO levels as well as to a technical audience.  

Location: Spain/Germany/Netherlands


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Participate in Sales presentation providing technical validation
  • Develop and conduct demos of software products to customers
  • Identify pain points and design high level technical propositions to solve them
  • Scope, develop and document
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with accounts
  • Create and articulate value-proposition for our products
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Architect solutions and solve technical challenges
  • Expect 40-60% travel; up to 3 times per month and for extended durations; typically, less than 2 weeks.


Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years in technical sales and / or Account Management
  • 5+ years in data engineering
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Demonstrated independence and result-driven work ethic
  • Experience with delivering software to tier 1 enterprises
  • Java & PHP Development background
  • Strong SQL knowledge/expertise
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system
  • Ability to communicate the design and implementation of software systems including relevant strengths/weaknesses and reasons for implementation decisions
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with C-level executives
  • Good understanding of a scalable, distributed system architectures
  • Good understanding of Enterprise software back-end architectures


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in leading POCs and demos for B2B software sale
  • Experience in data hub deployment (including micro service layers)
  • Cassandra NOSQL knowledge
  • HTML/CSS knowledge
